Buyers bought 3,003 Orange County residences. That is up 18.2 percent vs. a year ago. In the 1997-2006 boom, though, monthly sales averaged 4,304.

DataQuick numbers for the 22 business days ended May 10 shows that shoppers bought 3,003 O.C homes…up 18.2 percent.
Taking sales volume into consideration, home pricing is up in ZIP codes representing 72 percent of the county’s market.
11 of the 83 ZIP’s have sales gains of 100 percent or more.
7 out of 83 county ZIP’s had median sales prices above 1 million in the period vs. 11 ZIPs when the county median prices peaked in 2007
A total of 512 homes sold in beach cities’ 17 ZIP codes up 33 percent from a year ago
